AFFORDABLE ART FAIR, HAMPSTEAD

We will be back in (hopefully!) sunny London once again in May at The Affordable Art Fair Hampstead on stand H1. From 10th – 13th May we will showing a handpicked edit from our artists including new works from Caroline Yates, Angela Edwards, Bruce McLean, Peter BlakeBobbie Russon, Jacob Crivello and we are excited to welcome Amy Carter.

Looking for an outlet from the stresses of her job, Amy Carter reignited her childhood interest in painting and joined Wimbledon Art Studios in July 2016. Since then Amy has been experimenting and refining her style, drawing inspiration from artists such as Frida Kahlo, Vladimar Tretchikoff and Joseph Henry Lynch, her work includes large oil paintings of bold flowers as well as an evolving series of female portraits often painted in blue tones.

Bruce McLean‘s latest print releases will be on show with us at the fair.

Inspired by the Dream Garden Monotypes released in 2017, McLean has developed two stunning new limited edition silkscreens with collaged elements: Shades of Grey, Light Blue and Shades of Grey, Cerulean Blue. In a limited edition size of 75 prints, each of the Shades of Grey silkscreens explore deeper McLean’s dream garden vision with a refined focus on monochromatic patterns and textures with pops of vibrant colours.

Jacob Crivello‘s latest collections ‘Hidden Curiosities’ and ‘An Untold Chapter’ centre around the idea of new life and purpose for old objects.

I believe that it is always worth reminding ourselves that beauty can be found in the reinvention and repurposing of the old and previously used

Within these new works are hidden worlds and frozen moments which ignite memories and emotions combined with a haunting reminder of a world gradually depleted of natural resources through climate change.

Join us on beautiful Hampstead Heath to discover a carefully curated selection of diverse and inspiring works from us and over 100 other galleries. And don’t forget we offer the Own Art scheme allowing you to spread the cost of artwork at the fair over 10 months, with the benefit of an interest-free loan.

We have a small number of complimentary tickets available, please get in touch if you would like one: info@hicksgallery.co.uk. These will be allocated on a first come first served basis.

We hope to see you there!
